ABOUT ME
Therapy is not a "one size fits all" scenario and you deserve a person-centered approach to your care that is tailored to your individual
needs. My role as your therapist is to make sure your needs are being
met and that you are working towards becoming the best version of
yourself.
I chose to be a therapist because I experienced and saw first-hand that there is a lack
of representation of the LGBTQIA+ community among therapists and that there are very few therapists who really understand the issues we are faced with as a
community and individuals within that community. You deserve to have a therapist that can relate to you and
your experiences.
As an individual who identifies as part of the LGBTQIA+ community
and an adoptive dad to two, I believe it is essential to create a safe and
welcoming place for you and/or your loved ones to feel comfortable
talking about the uncomfortable.
I strive to utilize therapeutic modalities such as a Psychodynamic Approach, Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), Trauma Informed Care, Solution Focused Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and a
Strength-Based Approach on areas you have identified you want to
improve upon. I utilize an anti-oppressive lens and together we will look at dismantling oppressive structures and critically reflect on them and the value and power they hold over you in your life.
In addition to individual therapy, I provide relationship therapy to all relationship dynamics. I have experience working with polyamorous and consensual non-monogamous relationships. I am also kink affirmative.
Outside of the office, I enjoy spending time with my family and staying
active. I enjoy running and am guilty of squeezing in a work out between
my therapy sessions. I am also an avid reality television viewer.
